Our Vision & Mission
The Wade Family Endowment, the philanthropic arm of Kendal Wade Funeral Home LLC, is rooted in a legacy of compassion and service spanning four generations in the death care industry. With family-affiliated funeral homes in North Carolina and an affiliate cemetery in Virginia, we have long been a pillar of support for grieving families. Recognizing the devastating impact of child homicides, the endowment has committed to preserving the memories of these young lives through two flagship initiatives:
The National Children’s Memorial, dedicated to honoring the memory of children who have fallen victim to violence across the United States.
The International Children’s Memorial, a global initiative to ensure that children lost to homicide worldwide are never forgotten.
These memorials will stand as solemn tributes to the innocent lives taken too soon, while also serving as catalysts for awareness, advocacy, and systemic change to prevent future tragedies.
